In The History of the Hubbard Lake Methodist Church, by Mrs. Byron Coleman, on page 10 is noted. "Several of the women of the community" including "Mrs Robert Ellsworth known affectionately as Aunt Jane, went around either walking or with teams and sleighs and collected the money paid the minister's salary each month." Under memberships, page 21, she is recorded as such on the date of July 10, 1898. Robert Henry Ellsworth's death is noted on page 31 as January 2, 1904, place of funeral Hubbard Lake, Michigan, Minister Robert McKenzie.
