The following received 5 May 2005 from Michael E. Ellis and picked up from NEHGS records through his membership:
The Vital Records of Worcester, Chittenden County, Vermont, covering the period 1813 - 1858, but singling out the year 1847, indicates a Rev. Harvey Guernsey and his death on March 17, 1847 @ age 63. This Harvey Guernsey could possibly be the father of the referred to Rev. Harvey Guernsey, born in 1810 and who married Lydia [Titcomb] Goold, since this would have made the age 63 years in 1847, born in 1784 or 26 years prior to the birth of Harvey Guernsey born in 1810.

The first look at this reference was a bit deceiving and appeared to be only the Rev. Harvey Guernsey married to Lydia [Titcomb] Goold but upon close checking dates it had to be another Rev. Harvey Guernsey. Two Reverend's with same name not necessarily unusual in some of the early colonial days.

Received from Michael E. Ellis e-mail the following from collects relating to the History and Inhaitants of the Town of Townshend, Windham Co., Vermont, by James H. Phelps. As follows:
“From spring of 1839, to Spring of 1843, the people of Townshend and vicinity attended upon the ministrations of Methodist clergymen Rev. Harvey Guernsey supplying for first two years of the term, and Rev. William H. Hodges for the last two.”
