ECN Winter 1996, pg 14, is found the following: Bio of Benjamin S. Ellis of Monmouth, Maine, Submitted by Jean Wheeler, P. O. Box 727, Tolland, CT 06084. From "History of Monmouth & Wales (Maine) 1894": BENJAMIN S. ELLIS b in South Carver, Mass. 10 May 1809, s/o Benjamin Ellis. His father's iron foundry was established in 1757 and was one of the oldest in the country. He was a descendant of John Ellis of Sandwich, Mass. Benjamin S. Ellis m Mary Ann Storms 1836 and came to Monmouth 1837 where he lived out his years. Only three children were mentioned: Benjamin Ellis who stayed in Monmouth; Charles C. Ellis of Sterling Neb.; and Mary d. who m. Lewis Holmes and lived in Willimantic, Conn.
