Item 2.Samuel Ellis was a Revolutionary War soldier enlisting 11 April 1777 for service with the Continental Army. He served in Capt. Wadsworth's company, Col. Bradford's regiment;
in Capt. John Hobby's company, Col. Henry Jackson's regiment; discharged 5 Dec 1780.
There is reported to be five children but only one is identified.
