Barnabas Ellis married Ruth Mendall, 05Apr1770, Plymouth, Rochester, MA., IGI pg. 12028.
Barnabas Ellis served as a private in Capt. Zaccheus Bartlett's Company, Col. Thomas Lothrop's regiment, 10days; company marched from the South Precinct ofPlymouth to Bristol, R.I., 11 Dec 1776 and 1777, on an alarm. He is listed as the head ofa Plymouth household in the 1790 census. Children are from the Plymouth Town Records.
Genealogical Register of Plymouth Families, by William T. Davis, page 102, indicates Barnabas, son of 1st Eleazer, married Ruth Swift, and had Eleazer, 1771, etc. This is in contention with that of Ruth Mendall but using similar dates with further children.
