Misc. Notes
The following is found in "Sandwich A Cape Cod Town" by R. A. Lovell, Jr. and undoubtedly is associated with Capt. Samuel Tobey.

TOBEY.
"Thomas Tobey (about 1625-1710) married Martha Knott and inherited her family homestead at what is now 4 Water Street. With seven sons (no daughters) he soon needed more home sites. Son Thomas Junior was killed in the Indian War leaving posthumous son in Yarmouth. Son John settled north of Peters pond in a compound that remained in the family for two hundred years. Other sons settled along Water Street and there was extensive resettlement in other towns. There were representatives of the name in Sandwich into the twentieth century." This is now open to find the exact connection.
